RIP Ray Thomas

Hi it’s Lindsey, and I’ve always been a BIG Moody Blues fan, so I’m feeling particularly sad today to learn that Ray Thomas has passed. Ray was one of the co-founding members of the band and he died from complications from prostate cancer a few days ago. Ray was an amazing flutist and became a songwriting force for the band, having wrote or co-wrote some of my favorites: Twilight Time, Are You Sitting Comfortably, For My Lady and Legend of a Mind.

It’s just so sad that he’s not going to be with the band when they are finally inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame later this year. What a travesty that for some reason, the powers that be waited so long to honor this incredible band.

Please join me in remembering one of the greats and enjoy this performance from 2000 at London’s Royal Albert Hall.
