Hi it’s Lindsey, and we lost another legend over the weekend: AC/DC’s Malcolm Young, who passed away at 64 from dementia. He died at home surrounded by his family. Malcolm founded the band in 1975 with his brother Angus, and here is the official statement from the family following his death: “Renowned for his musical prowess Malcolm was a songwriter, guitarist, performer, producer and visionary who inspired many. From the onset, he knew what he wanted to achieve and along with his younger brother, took to the world stage giving their all at every show. Nothing less would do for their fans.”
Malcolm played rhythm guitar to Angus’ lead, and his driving riffs and mop-top hair were signatures of the band’s sound and image for decades.
Let’s remember by enjoying this great video of a classic.
